Author Julia Cameron lays out the basic principles for creative recovery and discovery at the very beginning of “The Artist’s Way”. I read them every morning and decided to work out my own interpretation to integrate them further. Enjoy…
The energy of life is creative action. This creative energy sustains everything that grows and evolves. Plants, animals, people. As humans, accepting our creativity opens the doors of the Creator’s mansion. The rooms inside are studios, research labs, libraries. Living spaces walk out to gardens, forests, riverbanks, and shorelines.
There is access to every environment we need to express our creative callings. Our true renewable resource is creativity. While one digs up, another pours back in. God, however you know her, gave us creativity and delights in our creations. Creativity is undefined and inherent, we all have it. There is no limit, never doubt your birthright.
Every step lays another stone on our creative path toward home. Slowly but surely, openness to creativity, softly molds and shapes our true forms. The form we dream about and see glimpses of in our minds and reflected in other people. We’re protected as we explore. Divinity is dreams actualized. Our dreams and the Creator’s plan are one in the same.
Creativity As a Renewable Resource
